Enjoy a Guided Heritage Tour, try a spot of Angling for wild salmon and brown trout in the River Nore, experience a Sheep Dog Demonstration, and explore Jerpoint Abbey. There’s loads to to in this area, with Thomastown just a few minutes away it makes for a lovely day out.

Located in the picturesque village of Inistioge, these restored Victorian Gardens and Aboretum are one of Ireland’s finest. Tea Rooms, Walled Gardens and magnificent views over the village make this a memorable destination. Pop down to Inistioge to wander into the village, location of the famous film ‘Circle of Friends’ by Maeve Binchy and situated right on the river.

This river-side village is full of things for everyone to do. Pop into Mount Brandon Pottery School and be creative, hire a bike to explore the area at Waterside Bike & Hike, relax in one of the many eateries or public houses along the river and visit Duiske Abbey for some heritage.
