We have a Ski Holiday! This one is during school term, arriving into Salzberg Airport on March 14th x 7 nights, with flights at JUST €119 per person at the time of going to print. I’ll then arrange a shared transfer to the hotel, and then the fun begins!

The hotel has rooms of varying sizes, from a single that will sleep up to two on a single bed and a sofa bed, to larger rooms sleeping up to four. If you have a smaller family and don’t intend to spend much time in your bedroom, you can save hundreds by choosing to book the smaller space. The single room measures 16-18m² , a larger double room measures 18-22m² , and the most spacious room measures 25-30m², prices per room and per family at the end of this page.

Included in your stay is what this hotel calls ‘¾-board’, and it covers your daily breakfast, lunch and dinner. Large breakfast buffet with muesli, organic produce, and everything that skiers find tasty; Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, lemonades and juices from the buffet until 5 p.m. You’re also invited you to try out the afternoon buffet every day – sweet and tempting delights from Austria, pastries and hearty food, such as cured meats, goulash soup or ‘‘Speckbrot’ (bacon bread), with coffee and tea from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. 4-course evening menu with 3 main dishes to choose from and healthy meals too, with a buffet of crunchy salad daily. Ice-cream, cheese and fruit from the buffet daily, 2 x delicious dessert buffets per week, 2 x delicious starter buffets per week.

So now you know you’ll be very well fed, what else can you expect? Well, hold onto your ski hats, because also included in your stay is child care and infant care for those aged from 1 year, from Mon-Fri, 8.30 a.m. – 5 p.m. and 2 x evening care from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. including children’s lunch and children’s juice bar, Children’s ski-carousel at the hotel, Pick-up and return transport for children as part of the ski school (prices here).

Children’s facilities also include the 200 sqm pool with a separate pool for children – 40 cm water depth and 12 sqm water surface – family sauna and rain shower, 200 sqm Kids Arena with Babylounge and Kids Kreativ including table tennis, billards, boulder and mediathek, NEW: Alfstube with T-Wall and air hockey table, Children’s play room beside the restaurant, Baby equipment in the room: cot, changing mat, water cooker, nappy pail, potty seat, night light. NEW: Babybar 24h accessible with vegetable and fruit puddings from Holle, as well as extra oil, baby food for 4 age groups, milk and yoghurts, with water cooker, vaporisator, babyware and cutlery, bibs and washbasins, Children’s area at the breakfast buffet, Children’s lunch as part of child care, Juice bar to 5 p.m. in the children’s area and Daily Children’s buffet during evening meal.

Then for the parents, a slice of heaven. A feel well area for soothing relaxation on 3 floors to accommodate both kids and parents, Indoor Pool 30 m² surface including water jet stream, jets and waterfall, own family wellness area with children’s pool (40 cm water height and 12 m² of water surface), children sauna, rain shower and recreation area for families, 2 sunbeds with solar panels.

Wellness Centre is a beneficial relaxation for parents, and the rest area is for children only 14 years plus. Enjoy the Mayus sauna, Steam bath with salt water, Sanarium with colour therapy, Infrared sauna, feel well Oasis, Luxury shower, “Kneipp” pool and gym. The relaxation area with views to the mountains, relaxation pyramid, access to the roof terrace with sun loungers with a lush Hotel bathing robe for your leisure, and for an additional fee there are spa and beauty treatments available by appointment.

Try Cross-Country Skiing, Tabogganing, Winter hiking and snow-shoe hiking in Flachau, or a more relaxing afternoon of Curling and Horse-Drawn Carrage rides. Then there’s even more fun and action for all free skiers or snow boarders at 2 snow parks in Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl. The parks and their various sectors are shaped and maintained daily and also offer enough room for powdering off the lines. Nearby is Wagraini’s Kids Beginners Snowpark. At the mid-station of the “Rote Achter” gondola, or by taking your car to the car park for the Rote Achter Moadörfl and riding up on the lift, you will come to “Wagraini’s Winter World“. Ideal for small children accompanied by grandpa, grandma, the parents… non-skiers and skiers alike. Awaiting the little dudes there is lots of fun including a Magic Carpet, Forest Carpet, tubing hill, igloos and rest areas. Also suitable for people on foot, sledders and prams. Children’s Programs run every Tuesday from 11 a.m. “Kids’ Party”, and every Thursday from 2 p.m. “Grill Party for Kids”.

Another fantastic day out is the Therme Amadé Aqua Park. The new aqua park with sauna and leisure centre for all the family only 3 minutes by car from the Hotel Felsenhof, and it’s full of fun for the whole family. 11 different pools with pleasantly warm salt water (27°- 32°) offer a fantastic choice of fun and relaxation. 2 aqua slides – one with a loop – are the highlights of the Therme Amadé Aqua Park.

The generous sauna facilities will attract both sauna fans and those who have yet to experience the benefits of a sauna. The Aqua loop slide with rocket start is sure to be one of the highlights for visitors and its rocket start system is the first of its kind in Austria – guaranteed to attract fun- and sports-loving visitors from afar.
