And now for something completely different to suit families with children of all ages. Arrive August 21st for 5 nights and 5 days in the beautiful coastal town of Carlingford, with two full days of Summer Camp, access to the local leisure centre, a Harbour Boat Cruise, and a group evening meal all included.
Carlingford is just an hour from Dublin and Belfast, with so many amazing places to spend a day out just a few minutes driving distance. Visit all the medieval castles, historic sites and discover some legends during your stay, or just enjoy the narrow streets of Carlingford Town and everything it has to offer.
Just 30 minutes from Carlingford is the fantastic Airbound Trampoline Park in Dundalk, where you can join in on the fun and bounce off some steam while having a great giggle.
Or even closer is Newry, 20 minutes from Carlingford, and they have Sheep Bridge Family Entertainment Centre. With a Bowling Alley, a state of the art children’s indoor play area called Cheeky Monkey’s, and the Space Quest laser tag arena, there’s something for everyone. An onsite bar & Restaurant makes it easy to spend the whole day here when the weather isn’t co-operating.
And if you’re looking for something to do while the children are in Summer Activity Camp, try out the wonderful Carlingford Yoga and practise some relaxation and mindfulness, rent a bike and explore one of their beautiful coastal trails, and make the most of your free time here.
For those who like exploring and historical sites there is St. John’s Castle, the Famine Village, and Dominican Monastery to visit, some requiring a short hike in the mountains, but all beautiful and well worth a visit.
We’re really pulling out all the stops with this one, and have secured some lovely self-catering accommodation right in the heart of Carlingford Town, where just a 1 minute walk brings you along the harbour into the village, to the shops, pubs, restaurants and the activity centre.
