Glamping Adventure in Wexford, April 3rd 2018

Do you like the idea of camping but just love your bed even more? Or have you had enough of the regular camping frivolities of pitching a tent, lying on the ground, dressing and undressing in the sitting or crouched position, wriggling in a sleeping bag and having to pack it all up again when you leave? Well we have what you need!

Get away from it all with top class accommodation, warm comfy beds and no need to pitch a tent or take one down again. Just bring your clothes, unpack and relax in an exclusive area separate from the rest of the campus, and we’ve laid on some fantastic adventure activities to keep everyone occupied during your stay.

Yes, you are camping, technically, but the bespoke bell tents are high enough to walk around in, with a solid floor underneath, electricity (for camping electrical devices and phone/tablet/laptop charging) and beautiful surroundings, both inside and outside your tent, to have a great escape, without all the hassle.

Arrive at your leisure on Tuesday April 3rd, just after the Easter Weekend, and stay for 3 nights and four days of relaxation, adventure and laughs in the Sunny South East. Explore the local area while you’re here, with so much within easy access of the site including Rosslare Harbour, Hook Head and much more.

On the first evening I have arranged a reserved area in the local bar, just a few minutes walk from the campsite, where you can all meet properly while enjoying a delicious BBQ meal together, then on Wednesday morning it’s time for the fun and adventures to begin! I have arranged 2 activities this afternoon, beginning with the ever-popular High Ropes.

With both High Ropes and Low Ropes, the children can challenge themselves and have an adventure on the high ropes structure, complete with 14 activities for you to test your climbing skills. Our high ropes have two platforms, a 4 metre and 7 metre platform for you to tackle, lasting approximately 1 and a half hours. With full safety gear, including harness and helmet supplied and staff always on duty you could not be more secure. Please be aware there is a minimum height restriction of 1.3m and a maximum weight of 120kg.

After a morning of climbing ropes, it’s time to test your accuracy on the purpose built Airsoft range. The qualified instructors will take you through a full shooting programme, from training on how to hold the gun, to setting up the gun, to finally hitting your target and playing some accuracy games. A full session on the Airsoft Range will last an hour.

After a break to share stories with the mammies and daddies, the kids head into the water, this time for Rafting. Test your raft building skills and make a splash on the purpose built activity lake. They provide wet-suits and buoyancy aids and any equipment needed to build your very own raft. The instructors and lifeguard will be on the lake at all times during the 2 hour session and they will help you to build a complete raft!

Finally, it’s time for Battlezone! Battlezone Archery is an adrenaline fueled combat game in which teams face off on our purpose built Battlezone field layout. Using full protective equipment including facial protective gear, players can experience the excitement of shooting specially designed rubber tipped arrows that absorb the impact when hitting a player. Our fully trained staff take you through a full safety briefing and keep track of scoring. A full session will last approximately an hour and a quarter to an hour and a half depending on group size.

Your first evening meal in the local pub is included in the package, along with two activity sessions per day for the children, and three nights Glamping onsite. Kitchen and BBQ facilities onsite make it easy to prepare meals, and some local restaurants do delivery if the mood takes you!

Onsite facilities also include brand new showers, toilets and washing up blocks which are easily accessible to onsite guests. Showers require a token, which sells for €2 in the onsite office. If you decide that there are more activities you and/or the children want to do while you’re here, just ask at reception for reduced rates exclusive to our group.

So join us during the second week of the Easter mid-term, arriving Tuesday April 3rd for three nights Glamping, one evening meal on Tuesday in the local pub, two sets of activities per day for the children, adults can join in on any or all activities, just ask for the price so I can book you in!
