This is a trip with a difference, because there are only three units onsite, so the group will be an intimate one. It’s perfect for families who love to ramble, walk, explore and completely immerse themselves in nature.
There are two Bell Tents, each sleeping up to 4 people. With a separate outside camp kitchen under a large awning, the camp kitchen contains a BBQ, (please bring your own charcoal) gas hob / grill, large cool box and table and chairs. There is cooking equipment, cutlery and plates.
The tents are a spacious retreat for families who want a peaceful get away. We provide bed linen, towels and flowers. Breakfast supplies are included in the price with tea and coffee. There is a separate hot outdoor shower and toilet hut located in the field.
The third unit is a quirky lorry parked on our smallholding with sheep and horses and is set in its own field. There is twelve acres in total, with an area of woodland and river which guests are welcome to explore. The lorry is a great place to observe wild life with red squirrels, pheasants, herons and birds of prey. Otters are thriving in the Nire river.
Nire valley Glamping is ideally located in the heart of the Comeragh mountains in county Waterford, Ireland and a short drive from many local attractions. The Nire Valley is a very picturesque area with beautiful stretches river, mixed woodland and mountain scenery. It is abundant with wildlife with red squirrels, otters and pine-martins in the area, as well as the sheep living on the open mountain.
It’s approximately 30 minutes in either direction towards Dungarvan, Co. Waterford or Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
