You may have noticed Glamping is very popular with our families, I certainly have, and with four trips all booked out within days and each with a waitlist, I had to put together another one. So here it is!
This time, we’re heading up to the North coast, minutes from the Giant’s Causeway, Derry, and so many other beautiful attractions. The area is called Limavady, and it’s an area of outstanding natural beauty, so join us on Sunday August 7th for three nights Glamping, and see it for yourself.
We have included accommodation in your choice of either a Glamping Pod or a Bell Tent for your holiday, and we promise you’ll love whichever one you choose. All accommodation facilities include a Camp Fire Pit, with just a few subtle differences depending on your preferences.
The Glamping Pods boast amazing views of Binevenagh, they are secure, lockable and heatable, comfortable cushions/mattress to sit/sleep on, bench area and under bed storage.
There are also 2 x low wattage plug sockets, dustbins, dustpan & brush, inside & outside lights, inside & outside coat hooks, outside shoe rack, and your own Picnic Bench with a BBQ Area.
If you’d prefer a Bell Tent, they are fully furnished, luxurious and cosy, with a wood burning stove in each, amazing views of Binevenagh, full-sizes beds with all linen provided, cosy mattresses with warm duvets and puffy pillows.
There is solar powered lighting inside the tents, 2 x solar-powered USB phone and camera charging ports, rugs, clothes rack, bedside tables, stools, rubbish bin, private fenced off lawn/patio area, with your own picnic bench and BBQ area.
The site has communal areas for everyone’s use, including free car parking, free Wifi, the ‘Glitchen’ with free Tea & Coffee facilities, communal fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster and microwave. There is also fresh drinking water, outside toilet and coin-operated shower blocks, a dish washing area with hot & cold water, recycle bins and it’s all in a very child-friendly environment.
We have included two evening meals in this package, in the form of a catered BBQ onsite. These will be served on the first and last nights of your stay, giving you all the freedom to either BBQ your own meal onsite or head out into the local area for dinner on one evening.
No activities are included in the price of this package, but that is simply because we had too much to choose from! So many choices, water-based activities, relaxing walks, exciting rock climbing, and much, much more are all on offer so I’m sure you’ll be spoilt for choice and can book anything that takes your fancy either before or on arrival to the site.
Choose from all kinds of High Ropes, Team Challenges, Orienteering, Archery, Abseiling, Rock Climbing and Wall Climbing. Or you might decide on a relaxing Hill Walk, Night Line, Raft Building, or a Kayaking or Canoeing trip, there really is bundles to do onsite so you don’t have to get back into the car if you don’t want to.
You’ll need the basic Glamping supplies, depending on the needs of your family, and we have put together a suggested list here, but shops in town are a short distance from the site, and they have their own tuck shop onsite for the small last-minute necessities and treats.
If you would like to have an afternoon or day out, there’s a very long list of places to see and things to do while you’re here. The Giant’s Causeway, Mussenden Temple and Downhill Beach are all must-see’s, while there are places such as the Limavady Swimming Pool & Gym, Brunswick Moviebowl and Playspace Indoor Playarea if any of you have had enough of the countryside and want a swim or the cinema.
This is a fantastic spot for families of all sizes and children of all ages, and I’m looking forward to returning here again and again!
