Kilkenny, Oct ’14

332010_10150825991160375_1478875073_oSummer’s nearly over, the kids are heading back to school, and we thought you might like something to look forward to on the next mid-term! So we searched for the best property with on-site Kids Club, compared rates and destinations, and have decided on a return trip to Kilkenny for October 27th for three nights. Having already visited Kilkenny over Easter, we were very excited to be able to make a return trip, and this time we upgraded our hotel a little. We will be staying in the beautiful 4* Hotel Kilkenny, with a fantastic on-site Kids Club, full equipped and state of the art Leisure Centre, and the luscious Spa & Beauty Rooms.

Hotel Kilkenny boasts luxurious 4* bedrooms, restaurant and bar, and is located just outside the city centre near the Callan/Clonmel Roundabout. You can take advantage of the wonderful onsite facilities, or pop into town for a bit of shopping and a bite to eat, Kilkenny City Centre is just a short taxi ride away.

Kids Club is open daily, from 9.30am to 12.30pm, and again from 5.00pm until 10.00pm, including dinner served to the children during the evening session. If the children dine in the restaurant with the parents, this would be an additional charge, but hopefully everyone will be happy to take advantage of this included service at the Kids Club. If you’d prefer your children to dine in the restaurant just let us know and we’ll price it for you.

205175_10150537357720375_5582541_nEvening meals are included in your package, with Group Dinners for the parents planned for Monday and Wednesday nights, and on Tuesday night we’ll have a more casual dinner in a reserved area of the bar, with finger food and sandwiches for everyone.

5067_200558325374_6675551_nLocally there is a huge range of activities for children, and we will obtain concessions for most of them during your stay. You can all travel as a group or individually, and Rose will be on-hand to book you in anywhere you’d like to go. Local attractions include the Dunmore Cave, Kilkenny Castle, Black Abbey, Jerpoint Abbey, Kilfane Glen & Waterfall and St. Canices Cathedral.

  2. Hi
Im wondering what there would be for a 5 year old boy to do & the meal arrangements for them & how much extra if they eat in the restaurant,,
also is there a baby sitting service
    regards
    sharon

    • Hi Sharon,

The Kids Club in Hotel Kilkenny is available for them twice daily, there’s also the leisure centre with 25m pool. With regards to the meals, if your son eats in the restaurant you’d be charged for his meals as he has them. The hotel would have a babysitting service, so if you’d like to arrange one now I can book one for you. They would be about €10 per hour usually.
If there’s anything else please let me know!
