We’re going back! We first visited this fantastic Resort over the October mid-term break in 2015, and vowed we’d most definitely be back during the Summer months, so here we go! Returning for a mid-week break, we’re arriving Monday July 18th for three nights and two evening meals.
The Breaffy House Hotel & Resort is exactly what you need for a short break away in Ireland. They have everything you could possible want to entertain children of all ages, with plenty of free time for the parents during scheduled Kids Club Activities.
You might decide to have a quick Spa Treatment, a dip in the pool or a walk through the surrounding 90 acre Woodlands.
There are two hotels onsite, and while we will be staying in the family hotel you can wander over to Breaffy House for a relaxing cuppa in style.
But of course it’s all about the kids, isn’t it! When they’re not being entertained you still have plenty to do with them without leaving the Resort.
Bring your bikes for some great bike trails, footballs for a game of 5-a-side on their full size outdoor pitch, or find the children’s playground in the middle of the woods while you take a nature walk together.
While the exact schedule for the Kids Club won’t be available until closer to the time, we do have a good idea of what to expect on a daily and nightly basis. Your days will start with the Kids Club professional minders collecting the kids from your bedroom door and bringing them on the Breakfast Train to eat breakfast together, followed by games, arts & crafts, and much, much more, until nearly 1pm.
The onsite Sports Arena, outdoor sports field, dedicate Kids Club Apartment are all put to full use during the Kids Club hours, but that’s just a small part of what’s on offer while you’re there.
We’ll start the trip with a casual meal in the hotel bar. A main course for each parent and child is included, and we can enjoy this in the spacious bar while we all get to know each other, which also hosts the nightly entertainment for the children. A fantastic magician will have them enthralled, followed by a theatrical Kiddies Disco with dance moves included!
On a second night during the trip we’ll have a more formal meal in the hotel restaurant. The children can be fed in the Kids Club or with the adults, whichever you prefer or works best for you, you might find you’re setting your daily schedule around that of the Kids Club to make sure they don’t miss anything!
The rooms are bright, spacious and comfortable, and even the hallways are extra wide so no-one has to struggle to their rooms dragging arm loads of luggage while trying to watch where the children are. It’s such a family-friendly hotel and resort that everyone felt comfortable allowing the children to have fun and spread out, so we’re very much looking forward to going back.
With everything that this Hotel & Resort has to offer, you won’t have to leave the property and will still find plenty to keep everyone busy, but you’re also just a short drive from some of Ireland’s most beautiful coastline. Just 20minutes from Westport, and easily accessible to the Wild Atlantic Way, you might want to take the perfect opportunity to explore Ireland’s West Coast.
Price includes main course each on first night, restaurant evening meal on one other night during your stay, daily Kids Club and nightly entertainment, full use of Breaffy Woods & House Hotel Resort & Spa during your stay, onsite leisure facilities.
