3The Resort:

Your hotel is in a peaceful spot yet close to the Algarve towns of Albufeira and Vilamoura on the southern coast of Portugal. Away from the overcrowded hustle and bustle of Albufeira and something more of the real Algarve than Vilamoura, but not far from either, we’re staying close to Olhos D’Agua, a popular fishing village located in-between the two. With its long sandy beaches and the Algarve – the perfect destination for families and couples of all ages.

The weather in this part of the Algarve hits the 30Cs in the summer holiday months – with a light breeze that ensures you don’t over heat!

Things to do:

5

Zoomarine is perfect for a family day out and offers the once in a lifetime opportunity to swim with dolphins – every child’s dream!

The Slide and Splash Aqua Park is another family holiday opportunity. It has around 20 slides, plus a green area for a spot of sun-bathing, and of course, jacuzzis and saunas for the mums and dads!

A visit to Albufeira for sight seeing and shopping . Once a quaint fishing village, Albufeira has retained its original charm whilst providing a wide range of tourist facilities. There are various stalls and small shops dotted around the old town streets, selling local crafts, such as knitted dolls, wooden toys and hand-made jewellery. The old town with cobbled streets and white painted houses has a very traditional feel, whilst the east of the town boasts a wide range of restaurants, shops and new hotels.

For anyone wishing to travel further afield, the magical, Spanish town of Seville is easily accessible for a day’s excursion.
Boat trips and markets and local markets also abound.

The Beaches:

Your hotel has direct access to Praia d’Agua, the long, golden, local beach, nestled amongst pine trees and cliffs with their rocky outcrops.

The beach is usually uncrowded, but well used by local fisherman, whose boats are often scattered on the beach.

Praia da Falesia beach is nearby and can easily rank as one of the most beautiful beaches in this part of the Algarve. Over 8km long it stretches all the way to Vilamoura and is edged by by red cliffs. Another beach, Santa Eulalia is a gentle beach, ideal for young children.

Olhos D’Agua is famed for its fresh water springs which can be seen amongst the rocks when the tide is out.

    • Hi Audrey, this holiday isn’t going ahead because we didn’t have the numbers in time. I can add you to the mailing list so you get notified of future holidays if you like? We are also planning other trips this summer, one of which is a camping trip to France, so I can send you the most recent newsletters if you like, just let me know 🙂
