Reykjavik, April 2019

A new destination for One Parent Holidays, and it’s so exciting! A beautiful place to visit in Spring, Reykjavic in Iceland is just over 2 hours flying from Dublin, and we have created a short and very sweet package to make sure you enjoy the best this amazing city has to offer.

Arrive at your leisure on Wednesday April 17th, and the transfer shuttle will drop you directly at your hotel, right in the heart of Reykjavic. Fosshotel Baron is an historical hotel standing prominently in the heart of Reykjavík, near the seafront, and within walking distance from many popular shops and attractions. Enjoy a scenic walk by the seaside, visit the prestigious Harpa Concert Hall and try some of Reykjavík’s great restaurants and cafés, all just a stone’s throw from the hotel.

Families of one adult & one child will share a double or twin room, while families of up to three children will share a larger room with a double bed and pull out double sofa bed. All rooms are equipped with Satellite TV, Free Wifi, Tea & Coffee facilities, safety box ad ensuite bathroom.

Onsite you can relax in the hotel bar & restaurant, lounge & bar, but within a few minutes walk you’ll find some amazing ways to spend your few days in Iceland.

Eating out is more expensive than in Ireland, with a local coffee & juice bar called Joe & The Juice charging €3.50 for a small coffee and up to €9 for a large smoothie. The Steakhouse is another example, with a grilled chicken main course priced about €33, or try a 250g Rib Eye Steak for €32 but you’re charged an additional €3.50 for the sauce and a further €6 for a side dish. But maybe in order to make up for the expensive restaurants and eateries, there are loads of free and very inexpensive activities you can enjoy right on your doorstep. Included in your package is Reykjavik City Card, and this card allows you completely free use of public bus transport in and around the city, free ferry ride to Viðey, a beautiful historic island on the ord of Reykjavik, free entry to museums, galleries, Reykjavik Zoo and Family Park, and maybe the best one yet, free entry to the amazing thermal pools, hot pots and saunas located all over the city.

The card is valid for 72 hours once it’s activated during your stay, and not only offers entry to so many attractions FREE OF CHARGE, but also huge discounts on many others. So join us this Easter, for 3 night B&B in a very high standard 3* hotel in Reykjavik City Centre, including airport shuttle transfers and a 72 hour Reykjavik City Card per person, prices per family as follows:
