Rome, August 2016

We’re going to Rome again! This time we’ve found a campsite closer to the city, but with everything you’d want in a family campsite. A Shuttle bus operates from the park to bring you right into Rome city centre daily, so everything you could want to see is just minutes away.

The accommodation is very family friendly, with different standards of glamping available. Choose from a furnished tent or a Superior Bungalow for up to three people, or go larger and choose a chalet with a kitchette, living area, two bathrooms and two bedrooms so you can all relax in style.

The tents are pitched and raised 10cm from the ground, with laminated flooring, up to three beds, your own lighting and the security of being able to lock the entrance.

Standard Bungalows have two single beds and a private bathroom, with your own outside area to sit and soak up the sun.

Superior Bungalows are designed to a higher spec with a more spacious room that can house up to three single beds, a private bathroom and decking area.

The Chalet is the largest accommodation, and has one double and one triple bedroom, both ensuite with shower rooms, and a living area with kitchen and private deck.

The onsite market has everything you could possibly need during your stay, from groceries to souveniers,

Plenty to choose from with the onsite cafe and restaurant means you can choose to eat out once in a while in the comfort of the campsite.

Day trips and excursions are all on offer from the campsite reception, so you can make the most of the fantastic location and explore everything from the best tourist spots to the most exciting theme parks.

So join this group to Rome on a Glamping Trip you won’t soon forget, arriving August 13th for a seven night stay in your chosen accommodation. As always, FLIGHTS ARE NOT INCLUDED, but airport transfers are, so you book your own flights and we’ll make sure you get to the campsite quickly and easily.

Could you please send me booking details for this trip? Can you tell me how far from the city the campsite is? Thanks.

  9. hi
I am interested in the Rome trip. Is it possible to book from 10 aug to 17 aug, I have 1 daughter aged 9. Would like the standard bungalow.
Also could you tell me the nearest airport.

    • Hi Maria,
That’s no problem I’ll send you the booking details now. Both airports in Rome are within easy distance but the closer one is Ciampino, Leonardo da Vinci airport is on the south side of the city while the campsite is on the west.

  10. Hi I’m interested in this trip if there are spaces left and I can find flights at a price I can afford, which airport is the nearest and includes the transfers?

    • Hi Mary, you can fly into either of the two main airports, Ciampino or Leonardo da Vinci airports are both relatively close to the site and transfers will be included. If you decide you’d like to join them just let me know your children’s names and ages and I’ll send you on the booking details.

  11. Hi Rose, are there any places left for this trip? I have an 8 year old who is unsure about it. Can you send me the name of the campsite please? Did you find out if there is air conditioning? Many thanks, Janice

    • Hi Janice, there is air conditioning in all the units, and wifi in the bar and restaurant areas. The campsite is called Roma Camping Village, and there are still places at the moment but if you want to join the group let me know so I can send you the booking details right away

  12. Am I still the only one parent going to Rome????, was so excited about going on this trip and meeting other one parents, am so disappointed and not sure I’d book with again through here

    • Hi Mary, I’ll email you properly tomorrow because I was under the impression another family was joining you, and you have been in touch with them.

      • Those other family you put me up touch with hasn’t booked with yourself and is very unlikely to be going now as flight prices are very expensive.
I wouldn’t have booked knowing no body else was going and I asked many times how many were going and got no answer, the whole reason I booked with one parents was so that I wouldn’t be going on my holiday alone, but this is happening anyway

        • I spoke to you two weeks ago to apologise Mary, because I did have two families cancel in the last month, one of which assures me she has rebooked for the same week as you so she’ll be there at the same time. Unfortunately I can’t control when a family cancels, and this is the first time it has happened where I’m left with just one going on a holiday abroad, but I’m confident you’ll still have a great time. The resort is known for the entertainment and the other single parent family has a girl about the same age as your own, so I’m sure they’ll become firm friends. I hope this doesn’t put you off another holiday in the future, and if it helps you’re more than welcome to join us for dinner or a drink if any trips are close to your local area, that way you can meet other families before booking another one.

          • What is the name of the other parent? I’ve been chatting to Martina who has a boy and he is only 8 and my girl will be 11 soon is there another parent goingredients
I don’t know about? Martina may not go as flights are very expensive she has time to cancel and get full refund on accommodation if she decides not to travel.

          • That’s the parent I’m talking about, and I was under the impression she had a 9yo girl, so it looks like there was some miscommunication on that score. I hope she is going so you have some company, although it’s getting quite late to be booking flights. I can only keep my fingers crossed for you!
