Therme Erding, August 3rd 2018

You’d like something different for this August Bank Holiday, and we’ve found it. How about the amazing, exciting, Water World that is Therme Erding? In case you’ve never heard of it, Therme Erding is a multi-functional hot springs complex, the largest in Europe, featuring water slides, thermal pools and spa centers, just outside of Munich in Germany.

Erding itself is an old town just a short drive from Munich, and is famous beyond Germany’s borders for its unique hot springs.

This water has a positive health-effect due to its chemical composition and temperature and is used in aquacomplex called Therme Erding, the largest in Bavaria, located within a 5 minutes’ drive from the hotel.

Arrive into Munich Airport on Friday August 3rd 2018 for three nights, and your transfers to the hotel have been arranged. The Apart-hotel is just 30mins from Munich city if you want to explore, but we have plenty planned for you while you’re here.

You’re staying in a very comfortable room equipped with cosy double bed or twin beds, well-equipped working spaces, contemporary design bathroom with shower or bath, Satellite TV and SKY cinema, Mini-kitchen with fridge, free wifi, a balcony or terrace, A free bottle of mineral water and towels and toiletries.

A breakfast restaurant also have snacks available 24/7, and offer fragrant pastries, appetizers and freshly made coffee every day, operating in the open-buffet format.

I have included two full days at Therme Erding, where you can enjoy so many new experiences. More than 300 tall palm trees frame the turquoise wave lagoon, with summer temperatures and gentle waves rolling onto the palm-lined beach giving an impressive summer setting. When you step into this new paradise, you enter your own world.

In addition to the spaciousness and outstanding facilities, there is loads for guests to discover in the marvellously warm water. The Crazy River carries swimmers from the indoor area to the large outdoor pool, where restful bubbly loungers relax you and freshly pressed juices, cocktails and other refreshments are served all year round.

The bubbling spring is a tingling attraction in this new area, with the curative, 34°C geothermal water invigorating body and soul as it bubbles out from deep in the Earth. A toddlers’ pool and a hundred cosy sun loungers are also part of the 9,000 m² new building.

A specially designed wave machine ensures that the wave poo lis just as exciting as the slides in GALAXY ERDING. With five different wave intensities, from gentle swells to “Fun Waves”for kids and families and the three-metre-high “Big Wave”, THERME ERDING sets new standards in wave pools.

Europe’s biggest water slide world enthrals thrill seekers of all ages, with 26 slides totaling 2,500 metres in length. Three levels of difficulty: FAMILY, ACTION and X-TREME, provide for all the action your heart desires.

Among the highlights are the Magic Eye, at 360 metres the longest closed pipe slide in the world, the Speed Racer slides, great for one-on-one sliding duels, and the Black Mamba, the official slide of the German slide racing championships.

But despite all the action, they haven’t forgotten R&R: In the Cascade Pool you can sit in the peaceful, warm water and observe the goings-on in the galaxy, while the family infrared sauna pampers you. The OFF ZONE area offers pure relaxation with its Serenity Shells. Those looking for a private retreat will find them in the GALAXY LOUNGES.

When the weather is good, the 25-metre-high glass dome roof slides back, enabling you to slide and sunbathe at the same time, and eight huge summer slides ensure endless outdoor fun for the whole family when the air temperature allows.

If a love of beer is your thing, you’ll be delighted to hear that just 3.5 km away from the hotel is a brewery called Erdinger Weissbräu, proud of its 150-year-long traditions in making wheat beer. You can follow the full cycle of manufacturing the foamy beverage, from boiling wort to bottling beer as well as tasting the product.
